Book Resource Information - Missions
To ensure that all resources are equally available to
everyone, the Mission Viejo Library has a three (3) book
subject limit per family.
Use the Library Catalog to find books on your
subject. Missions are nonfiction and are shelved
according to their Dewey Decimal Number. Most of
the books on the same subject are then shelved together.
If you would like to find books in the Reference
collection (Juvenile or Adult) or in the Adult
Non-Fiction collection, the number is the same. The letter J in front of the call number signifies that
it is in the Juvenile collection versus the Adult
collection.
Reminder: Reference resources are those
that must be used in the library. You can make copies
but they cannot be checked out. One exception is our
"Circulating Encyclopedia Collection."
Be aware that when doing research in the Public Library,
you may have to use Reference sources since the Library
is unable to carry enough books for everyone on a
subject.
All of these Reference Resources are located at the
Children's Reference Desk. You must leave your library
card at the desk in order to use these items.
