Study Room Use
The Library has 4 study rooms available at no charge. Patrons and
groups are limited to a total of two hours per day of study room
use.
Study Rooms E and F are open to individuals and small groups. Patrons
who wish to use these rooms must first reserve them at the reference
desk.
Study rooms B and C are open to groups of 2 or more. Each group member
over 18 must have a Mission Viejo library card and all those under
18 without library cards should have a student/other form of ID.
Patrons may sign up to use these rooms at the reference desk. For
advanced reservations, rooms B and C are also available for rent for
$5.00 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours.
Effective June 30, 2003, patrons may sign up for a Study Room on a
same-day basis only. Advance reservations are not available unless
patrons are renting a room. Patrons can sign up for study rooms at
the reference desk.
Study Room users are requested to abide by the following guidelines:

Please be on
time. If you have reserved a Study Room time and are more than 15
minutes late, or leave the room for more than 15 minutes, your time may
be given to someone else. Please do not leave valuables unattended in
the Study Rooms.

The Study Rooms are intended for quiet individual or group study.
Talking is allowed; however, excessive noise and/or disruptive
behavior will result in the suspension of Study Room privileges for
one month.

Study Rooms B, C, E, and F will seat up to six people. For safety
reasons, overcrowding of the Study Rooms is not allowed.
Conference Rooms
and Reservations Groups of 1-12 may rent the
conference room. There is a 2 hour minimum use fee; reservations may be
made at the Reference Desk.
Rules of Conduct

Please refrain from loud talking and shouting. If you
wish to talk and visit with friends, you are welcome to
use the outside garden areas.

Offensive
or profane language is not permitted.

Computers
are sensitive to improper handling. Playing
and
banging on the keyboards is not permitted.

Furniture
is placed for safety and maximum use of
space. Do not
move the furniture, including
chairs in the Study Rooms.

For
safety reasons, please do not leave children
unattended.
Parents are responsible for
their children's behavior at all times.

For
your safety and the safety of others, please
walk. Running in
the library is not
permitted at any time.

Cell phones or pagers
may not be used inside the library per City
regulations. Cell phones and pagers must be
turned off or set to
vibrating mode before entering
the building. THESE POLICIES WILL BE STRICTLY
ENFORCED.
