Acceptance Service at the Library

News
Currently, the Passport Agency
is predicting Expedite passport processing will take
about 3 weeks and Routine processing will take 6-7
weeks.
With the anticipated changes in laws beginning in
January, 2008, there may be increasing passport
processing times.
A U.S. Passport
is now required (as of January 23, 2007) for all air
travel in and out of the United States, including
Canada and Mexico. All U.S. citizens, regardless of
age, are required to have their passport for foreign
air travel.

Hours
 Wednesday:
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. / 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. (walk-in
service)
Thursday Evenings: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (walk-in service)
Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (by appointment only)

Service hours.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PASSPORT ACCEPTANCE SERVICE STOPS
PROMPTLY AT 8:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAYS.
PASSPORT AGENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP ACCEPTING
APPLICATIONS PRIOR TO 8:00 P.M. IF IT MEANS THAT THE
PROCESSING SERVICE WILL CONTINUE PAST THAT TIME.
Saturday Passport Acceptance Services are by appointment
only:

Leave your name, the number of people
applying for a passport,
 and your
contact phone number. You will be contacted by
Passport
staff when your appointment is confirmed.
If you do not receive
a confirmation from us, your request was not taken.
You
may make your appointment no more than 2 weeks in advance.
The last appointment will be made no later than 1:50 p.m. to allow
time to process the passport.

1, 2008, both parents must be present when
applying for, or renewing a passport for
children under the age of 16. |
