The Friends also support all youth programs including the annual Summer Reading Program and the special performance programs.

The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library also support the library’s WiFi access

Donate your "Gently Used" Books, Videos, CDs and DVDs to the Friends Bookstore

The Mission Viejo Library needs your help! Why not donate your "gently used" books, videos, CDs, and DVDs to the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library Bookstore at the Mission Viejo Library? The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library will gladly accept your donations, which are tax deductible.

In great demand are used children's books, educational software, videos, and adult fiction and non-fiction books. Last year, the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library raised over $100,000 from the sale of donated books and this money was used to purchase new books, books-on-tape and videos for the library's Youth and Adult collections.

The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library Bookstore is located inside the Mission Viejo Library and is open seven days a week. Please call the Bookstore at (949) 830-7100, extension 5155 for more information.

Bookstore Volunteers Needed

If you love books and have two hours a week to give, the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library Bookstore at the Mission Viejo Library has a place for you! We need your help in receiving and sorting donations to sell in the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library Bookstore at the Mission Viejo Library.

The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library donates over $8,000 a month to the library.  These funds are used to purchase new library materials and to pay for Youth programs.  The bookstore is in special need of Volunteer "Sorters", to sort and price donations to be sold.  Training is provided.
