South County Outreach Food Drive

The Mission Viejo Library invites all patrons and SummerREAD participants to take part in the South County Outreach Food Drive by bringing a canned food or non-perishable food item each time they visit the library during the six week program, which runs from June 22 -August 3, 2009. A food drive drop-off barrel will be located in the SummerREAD registration area.

South County Outreach, located in Lake Forest, serves families in need throughout all of South Orange County. The following canned goods and non-perishable food items: can be donated: peanut butter; soup; rice; pasta; vegetables; fruit; tuna; spaghetti sauce; and cereal.
